YSL Review | Touche Éclat & Blush

So this is my HONEST opinion on these two YSL products. First, you can see it's the Touche Éclat (no. 7). Personally, I believe it to more useful to those who don't wear much makeup as it'll be more effective, clearing up dark circles etc, instead of using concealer which is heavier. Even though I have blemishes and the works, I find that I hardly reach for this product unless I want to feel (in my head) luxurious and am trying so hard to look flawless for the camera... So yup, that's about £20 odd that's been spent uselessly for me.

Then whilst still at the counter, the woman in Boots persuaded me to buy a blush. Don't really know if I thought I was balling with my student loan or something but yeah, I dived in and let her try it out on me. And before I know it, CHI CHING, money gone -.- HOWEVER, I actually LOOOOOVE this blush! I recommend anyone who wants to splurge or even as a present ask for a YSL blush. They are so light and they stay freaking put. You can build up from a cheek tint to a bold cheek look, just depends how you apply. It blends so lovely and smells divine... well mine smells like watermelons - refreshing. n.b. DO NOT be put off by the bright colour in the tub, as you can see, one light swipe is quite sheer, meaning the product will last for yonks!

Clarins | Review and Skin Journey

So I went for a consultation at a local beauty parlour where they specialise in Clarins products with expert beauticians. Seeing as I'd already tried out one of their products and was quite pleased with the outcome, I decided to pop along and check out their face range.

The beautician and I discussed my skin and my current regime and which products would be beneficial to me. I have oily to combination skin so these products are tailored to that. The pictures are of the samples she gave me to try out. She gave me cleansers, an exfoliator, masks, serums (to minimise pores) and moisturisers.

This is kind of like a skin journey so I will keep you updated on the condition of my skin and if these Clarins products actually work (for me anyway). Always remember, my skin is unique to me, so if they do work for me doesn't necessarily mean it would work for you. I would suggest if you are interested, then you go for a consultation at one of their stalls and talk to a beautician, after all it's free!

Will She Go To The Ball?

A couple of weeks back, I got all dressed and made up for the Oxford Brookes 'best of british' summer ball. I went with my real good friend Abi and we met some of our friends there too.

However, we decided we were only going to spend about 2 hours there as we were heading for a 'top class' event at one of Oxfords amazing clubs, Camera, for an afrobeats night featuring some a list names.

Rushing from one place to another, we picked up my cousin and headed for Camera, only to our dismay that there was hardly anyone there and not a single one of the performers were there. Thank God that we didn't have to pay the £15 entry fee though.

We decided then, after sheer frustration, that as my cousin will return home, Abi and I would return back to our ball and get the most out of our £30 ticket. Needless to say, it was a blast, meeting The Mend from Britains Got Talemt and Mr Hudson and Lethal Bizzle performing, just to mention a few.

And a happy Abi got her lovely hug from her favourite in The Mend :)

So all smiles....
