H O W T O | 90s Inspired Kylie Jenner Makeup Tutorial

Hey everyone! I'm sure you're all aware of the infamous makeup that Kylie Jenner has been sporting everywhere... People of all ages are trying their best to imitate, but what's funny is this is the same style of makeup that was around in the 90's, the age of Spice Girls, Friends, TLC etc. From scouring YouTube, I found not many were in the way of 'Women of Colour' and instead ladies were focusing more on the product or specific colour rather than the technique to achieve the look.

In this post and in my video that I'll link below, I'll try my best to teach you how to achieve this specific look and tailor it to your face/colour/taste with a few simple steps and key info!

In this picture displaying the gorgeous makeup, I want you to pay close attention to these 5 points that make up the look:

1. High Arched Eyebrows (very popular in the 90's)
2. Soft Natural Smokey/Sultry Eyes with large lashes
3. Fresh dose of Kardashian Highlight of course
4. Bronzed Cheek/Natural Looking Blush
5. Muted Pinks/Browns for lips

The idea is to keep the colour palette on the face very natural using pinks/browns/nudes but using these colours to accentuate your features rather than camoflage.

This colour diagram displays how I used the same colour palette used on Kylie, toned it down for my skin tone.

1. Your Skin Colour
2. Your Eye Crease Colour (Only a couple shades darker to bring out your eyes)
3. Outer V Colour (Just to smoke things out a little)
4. Muted pink lip

Remember keep everything smoked/blended out to keep it natural looking and sultry... NO HARSH LINES.

I really hope this helped you ladies that have probably watched endless tutorials on how to achieve this look. Keep in mind, all looks are possible; it doesn't necessarily matter if you have the same product or shade, just find what works for you and voila!

Have a great day ladies... I'll put a couple pictures so you can see what the look actually looks like without all the filters etc! And don't forget to share this post/video to all your girlies out there

Fashionista Makeup | Review and Giveaway

Hey everyone, so excited to be holding my first giveaway for all my lovely supporting subscribers on Youtube. It will be featuring this fabulous brand I discovered at Superdrug, called Fashionista. I've only seen their nail polishes promoted by the Saturdays in other branches but in the Oxford branch they had the full hog of their collection; from eyeshadows to blushes to lippies. I thought I'd give the eyeshadows a try as they were on a fantastic deal -  fill up a palette and get a free mascara (prices will be below). I bought the six palette as you can see below. I opted for a neutral palette with some fun baked eyeshadows for evening times. I've swatched the colours for you on my skin tone but remember, they will show up differently on different skin tones.

1. Double Take (Baked Eyeshadow) Golden Dragon Shade 2
Green sparkly with golden flecks
2. Double Take (Baked Eyeshadow) Radiant Shade 7
Brown sparkly with golden flecks
3. Double Take (Baked Eyeshadow) Bella Shade 5
White sparkly with golden flecks
4. Chocolate Dream Shade 23
Dark Brown Metallic
5. Nude Shade 20
Matte nude beige
6. Black Out Shade 5
Matte Black

Well What Do I Think?

Well I personally think they are amazing, the colour payoff is amazing, and so are the other colours. They have such a vast range of colours and shades and finishes so you can never have enough fun with them. They blend so easily as well so creating the perfect smokey eye is so easy to do. I've already worn these colours with different outfits, ranging from casual to formal. They also stay on very well with the help of my elf eyeshadow primer.

Below is the free mascara I chose (there were 3 to choose from). I chose this one as I'm very picky with the mascaras I use. This is due to the fact I have very small eyelashes that curl upwards instantly so I look for something with a comb and a formula that will lengthen and separate them. I've used this mascara within the past week and I just can't get enough of it. The brush has longer bristles on one side and shorter ones on the opposite side. This is to help you get those pesky little hairs that you usually miss, achieving a much fuller look.

THE GIVEAWAY

As I have enjoyed this product so much, I thought it'd be a great idea to get one for my subbies too. I picked a four palette with four colours I have in my palette. They are the neutral ones with various finishes so you can create any look you'd like. In addition, I'm throwing in the mascara as well!!!
